This will be one of the shortest posts I’ll ever write because frankly, there isn’t much to say about The Angry Birds Movie, except that it was a very, very terrible film.
Based on the hugely popular mobile game Angry Birds, The Angry Birds Movie tells the story of how grumpy Red, along with his pals Chuck and Bomb, must save bird eggs from hungry, evil green pigs. The plot is decent, but its execution was horrible. The movie dragged in the beginning, thanks to an excessive amount of dumb slapstick humor, and the film had one too many scenes of gross scatological humor. I found myself either falling asleep or cringing throughout the entire movie. Ultimately, I came out of the theater wishing I had never watched the movie and used my money on something better, which, given the quality of The Angry Birds Movie, shouldn’t have been too hard to find.
